From 3 to 4 Hours
A half day at the Vatican is a three/three and a half hours tour. I'll meet you at your Hotel, if centrally located, or I'll wait for you by the entrance of the museums with your skip the line reservation, give you a very good historical and artistic introduction, then we'll start the visit
The Vatican requires modest attire and no back-packs inside. We'll have to pass through Metal Detectors so no scissors or swiss-kind knifes.
Later we'll exit by St Peter's Basilica and I'll guide you inside.
We'll see and enjoy the major works of art: the Painting Gallery, with works of Giotto, Leonardo, Caravaggio and Raphael, Raphael's Rooms (once the private apartment s of Pope Giulio II) and the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's, Botticelli and many other top artists' immortal frescoes. In St. Peter's the masterpieces of Michelangelo (Pieta) and Gianlorenzo Bernini (Twisting bronze columns, various tombs and the amazing Colomnade). Every day there is a SKIPTHECROWDS entrance opening at 07:15 am that cost some 60 euro per person. From April 20 through October 26 Friday Night Special Entrance (07:00 pm to 09:30 pm)
